香港街道謎宮 Street Maze of Hong Kong (SSSAA - a Capella) (Master Level)

《香港街道迷宮》是我首次嘗試用粵語創作的合唱作品。其形式靈感來自巴赫和托赫的《地理賦格》，而歌詞則以香港街道名稱為題，通過錯綜複雜的節奏對位，描繪了迷失於城市縱橫交錯街道中的感受，努力記起那些難以記住的街名。作品的關鍵地點——筲箕灣，正是我的出生地。

Street Maze marks my first venture into composing a choral piece in Cantonese. The form draws inspiration from both Bach and Toch's Geographic Fugue, while the lyrics take their cue from the intricate rhythms of Hong Kong street names. Through layered counterpoints, the piece evokes the experience of being lost in the city's labyrinthine streets, struggling to recall its many complex names. At the heart of the narrative is Shau Kei Wan, the district where I was born.
