就快落雨 (About to Rain) SSA - Level 5

「落雨收衫」是經常聽到媽媽叫的口號，小時候喜歡打風落雨的日子。當時有一號至十號的十個風球訊號，感覺很刺激的，很不容易才會懸掛到十號風球，最開心當然就是有可能不用上課。記得有一次橫風橫雨，我和媽媽費了一番功夫才回到家中，一開大門只見大廳浸滿了水，窗門被亂風吹動得又開又關，原來忘記了關好窗！媽媽大叫糟糕，我卻大笑起來，見到大廳頓時成為水上樂園。《就快落雨》是描繪打風落雨之前的天色，烏雲驟至、行雷閃電、就快落雨。樂曲末段採用了原始的節奏和音色，模仿土人在求雨，也許因為我確實喜歡大雨天。

"Bring in the laundry before the rain!" was a phrase my mom often shouted. As a child, I loved stormy, rainy days. Back then, there were 10 typhoon signal levels ranging from 1 to 10, and reaching the highest signal, Typhoon Signal 10, was both rare and thrilling. The best part, of course, was the chance that school might be canceled.

I vividly recall one stormy day when my mom and I struggled against the wind and rain to make it home. Upon opening the door, we found the living room completely flooded. The windows had been left open, swinging wildly in the storm. My mom exclaimed in panic, "Oh no!" while I burst into laughter, seeing our living room transformed into a mini water park.

The song Before the Rain Falls captures the moment just before a storm, with dark clouds rolling in, thunder rumbling, and lightning flashing. The piece ends with primitive rhythms and timbres, imitating a tribal rain dance—a nod to my genuine fondness for rainy days.
